Although the bodily changes were there for everyone to see no one could prove it was because of the illegal use of doping. Many athletes in the 70's and 80's had to accept that unfair silver medal. But it was only until the "Berlin wall" broke down that it became clear that at least 10.000 East-Germans (even children!) were forced to take any pills and injections they were offered. Many of these athletes didn't survive the way their bodies were abused and many are even now physically handicapped. And what about those heroes?? The heroes of those days don't exist anymore. No pictures of them to be found anywhere. And if its possible the their names will be erased from the lists of glory.
