London Games Festival 2008

After the success of the London Game Festival last October, it has been announced that the event will be making a comeback later on this year.
The event will be taking place on the 25th of October, and if it is anything like last year’s event, there will be over 50 different events going on, ensuring that both the casual and hardcore gamer are kept amused over the course of the day.
Last years event saw over 100,000 people in attendance, with one of the highlights being the performance of popular video game theme tunes such as Super Mario, Bioshock and Metal Gear Solid, performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
London Games Festival chairman Keith Ramsdale had the following to say about the event:
" Last year’s London Games Festival was a huge success and we were thrilled with the feedback from many of those who attended and the publishers who took part. The Trafalgar Square event looked fantastic and it was great to see so many families come down and enjoy it. We’ve got plenty in store for 2008 and a whole host of major partners lined up with full support from the industry. We’re really looking forward to bringing the gaming industry to life in the capital again. "
