Errors after installing CoD4 PC 1.6 patch and map pack.


Some players and server-admins get errors after they installed the new Call of Duty 4 Map pack and 1.6 Patch. Errors like : mp_killhouse weapon error, Weapon index mismatch for "m16_reflex_mpm16_silencer_mp", Chinatown Crash, etc.

Because the 1.6 patch and new maps are ok for all others and only not ok for you... YOU must start looking for a problem at your end.

A. Your "error"-file is corrupt. Change this file with a new one.

B. There are old/new third-party files on your server or PC that causes this error with the standard CoD4 files.


Solutions > remove third party files manually, reinstall CoD4 or replace the "error"-files .

But for those server admins who dont want to remove the PAM (TRM too) Mod from their server ??

Weapon index mismatch for "m16_reflex_mpm16_silencer_mp" errors are always caused by third party files : Maps or Mods.

And yes, the modder or mapper needs to 'update' his work.

Bulletworm (PAM) is 'missing' but dont cry... it can be that 1 little extra file, you have to put in your MODs-file, will be the instant fix for this error.

Lets wait for a Pammy that provides this zzzzz.XXX.iwd to the users of PAM, TRM and etc.

If you have to re-install CoD4 but you dont want to lose your profile....

Find the default file > C:|Program Files|Activision|Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare|players|profiles

Just copy your profile and put it back in, after fresh install.
